Tom is a Physical Therapist at Premier Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine. He is a two-time graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, completing his BS in Exercise Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy through their 3+3 accelerated program. In addition to outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, Tom has acquired experience in acute and critical care from completing a clinical internship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Tom completed his last clinical internship here at PPPTSM during which he recognized the value manual therapy offers to patients. From his time spent as a patient and student, he has become passionate about providing personalized and quality care to patients to help them get back to doing what they love and preventing future injuries.
Tom’s enthusiasm for physical therapy stems from his career as a baseball pitcher and the resulting experience as a patient from his injuries. Throughout his time as a pitcher, he used video analysis to break down biomechanics and recognize where alterations needed to be made. Tom believes this experience has given him a greater ability to find the root of his patient’s injuries, make corrections to prevent further injuries, and target specific weaknesses to promote optimal performance.
